COAST, in partnership with St. Tammany Parish Government, operates STAR Transit. STAR Transit provides rural transportation Monday – Friday 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. STAR Transit provides urban transportation Monday – Saturday 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. STAR Transit is a curb to curb, demand response program. Reservations should be made as soon as possible as this is a first-come, first-served program.
COAST provides free transportation for riders age 60+ from 7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Senior riders must pay the regular ½ fare if they require rides at other times. By offering free transportation to the grocery, shopping, medical appointments and other errands, we are able to help seniors remain independent and self-sufficient. Each weekday, COAST provides transportation to and from the COAST senior centers, with the exception of Bush and Folsom.
